Journey with Denilson and Siobhian Christopher on Life, Marriage and Glorifying God in Trinidad

This month I am joined by Denilson and Siobhian (pronounced Sher-vorn) Christopher who have been married for 5 years and will be celebrating their 6th anniversary on the 6th of June! They live in the southern part of Trinidad which is part of a twin island Republic state in the Caribbean. Denilson is a Process Engineer at a local Oil and Gas company and Siobhian is a financial advisor at the leading insurance institution in the Caribbean. They both love adventuring outdoors and Siobhian is very passionate about physical fitness and overall healthy living.
Together they have started a marriage blog entitled, “Journey with the Christophers”. Through this blog they hope to be an example of Christian marriage and spur on couples and singles to live a life glorifying God.
Denilson’s testimony is one of a young man who made a decision and remained committed to Christ because God gave him his purpose early on. He said early on he felt insecure in that, as he didn’t have this radical conversion story. Yet someone spoke into his life and said his testimony reminded him that even,
“God’s faithfulness is a testimony on our lives”
Siobhian shares one of the lessons in the School of Relationships they attended prior to getting marreied was the purpose of relationships. It wasn’t so much about pleasing each other (although that is important) but more about glorifying God. We benefit when the relationship is to achieve some purpose for God that you couldn’t do on your own.
They share with us how they met, what it’s like being married to someone who is completely the opposite, the importance of community in marriage, and how the Lord led them to create a marriage blog.
